The Toussainthuis actively contributes to a better climate.

Greenbookings proudly welcomes Toussainthuis in The Hague to its network. By joining this initiative, the owner consciously chooses to take an active role in sustainability and tree planting.

More than 2% of all global CO2 emissions are caused by the events and meeting industry and the travel movements associated with it. That can and must change, says Greenbookings. The foundation’s vision is to make the Dutch events and meeting sector permanently sustainable. Its goal is to plant at least 250,000 trees annually worldwide from 2026 onward, in collaboration with all participating venues, to help offset part of this CO2 emission.

Venues affiliated with Greenbookings collaborate through an online system. This system automatically calculates how many trees can be planted with 0.5% of the booking amount per event or meeting. Both venues and bookers are given the opportunity to plant additional trees beyond that initial number.

The owner of Toussainthuis consciously chose to participate in Greenbookings. “Through this, we promote sustainability and environmental awareness among our clients and within Toussainthuis itself.”
