Historic
A special history
The historic Toussainthuis is named after the renowned Dutch writer Toussaint and her husband, Johannes Bosboom, a classical painter. From 1911 onwards the first public library of The Hague was located here.
Facilities
Internet, music and projection screen
During the meeting internet, the projection screen, the beamer and audio installation are at your disposal. The screen is four meter wide a perfectly visible from every place in the conference room.
Catering
Breakfast, lunch or dinner
To facilitate the short breaks, our team can prepare healthy and savoury snacks as well. During lunch a biological lunch buffet will be prepared and closing the day with drinks or a dinner is possible as well.

Meeting venue
The meeting location in The Hague is rented out exclusively. This means that there are no other guests present and so we can ensure a quiet environment and guarantee your privacy.
Breakout areas
Would you like to have a separate meeting? There are six break-out areas in total, spread over the front house, the sitting area, in the office or in the video room. All rooms are equipped with screens for presentations.
Image & sound
You can use our four meters wide screen, which is connected to a Dolby Surround System, to show presentations, film or video and hybrid meetings in The Hague.
Meeting materials
Of course you can use the WiFi network, the printer, flip charts, markers, post-it notes or other supplies you need at a meeting location at our location during your meeting, presentation or training.
Culinary services
Based on your wishes, we can provide breakfast, brunch or lunch for your meeting in collaboration with our catering partners. This can be relatively simple or extensive. It is also possible to enjoy live cooking.
Support
During the meeting, presentation or training a staff member of the Toussainthuis will be present all day to provide catering services and support with IT or other meeting services.
Setup and capabilities
A good layout of the location during the meeting contributes to the effectiveness. View the possible floor plan configurations on our website. If you want a different setup, this is of course also possible.
Darken daylight
For hybrid meetings, presentations and film screenings in The Hague, it is nice if the daylight can be regulated. There are blinds in all rooms that can be adjusted to your liking to create the best environment for your meeting.

If you're looking for a really comfortable, private and highly professional meeting space to organise your conference, teambuilding, workshop or training venue look no further. The amendments here a great, nice lightning and awesome drop down screen. Be sure to visit this in real life, the owner is very friendly and you will get a feel for the place that will make you want to book it instantly. Come to think of it, this is also a great place for a photoshoot.

Wonderful venue. I had the pleasure of booking the Toussainthuis for an international conference. It's central, overlooks the Palace gardens and a typical Dutch canal. Such care has been taken to make this historic space beautiful. From the art collection, décor, lighting and acoustics to create a wonderful atmosphere overall. The staff were very welcoming and so helpful in providing excellent support. I highly recommend this as an event space, it’s really special.

A very stylish, elegant and versatile space that can accommodate anything from small scale team or board meetings (they have a beamer and big screen), to seated dinners of up to 40 people, to walking dinners for even larger groups. How large is the venue and how many guests can it accommodate?
Our venue offers a spacious and light-filled environment and is often perceived as larger than visitors expect based on the photographs. The ground floor extends 32 metres in depth, and the studio features a ceiling height of more than 6 metres. This makes the venue suitable for gatherings ranging from approximately 10 to 100 guests.

Which spaces are available?
Toussainthuis offers two main event spaces: the Studio and the Writing Room. In addition, several smaller rooms can be used as breakout spaces for group work, workshops, or private sessions.
The Studio accommodates groups of approximately 10 to 100 guests, while the Writing Room is suitable for meetings of 5 to 30 guests. It is also possible to reserve the entire house, including the Studio, the Writing Room, and four breakout rooms. All spaces can be configured flexibly to suit your specific requirements and programme.
Where can I find the rates?
Our rates depend on several factors, including the date, duration of the event, number of guests, and the desired programme. Based on your enquiry, we will prepare a tailored proposal.
Upon receipt of the quotation, we will hold the venue on a complimentary option basis for three days.
What room layouts are available?
All spaces can be configured in a variety of ways. Possible layouts include a circle arrangement, U-shape, theatre style, boardroom setup, or other meeting configurations with tables.
We are happy to advise on the most suitable setup for your programme and objectives. Floor plans and detailed capacity information for each room can be found on our website.
Can I book directly with the Toussainthuis?
You can book Toussainthuis either directly with us or through Meeting Select. Both options are available, depending on how your enquiry reaches us.
Is digital or hybrid meeting support available?
Yes, digital and hybrid meetings can be facilitated. We can provide live streaming solutions that allow participants to join remotely.
This can range from a simple setup using a laptop and screen to a fully professional arrangement with dedicated cameras and microphones.
Can you provide privacy and security arrangements?
Yes. Toussainthuis can be rented on an exclusive-use basis, ensuring that no other groups are present during your event. This allows us to guarantee privacy, a quiet and focused environment, and additional security measures if required.
